About Amira Brooks Flamenco

flamenco dancer graffiti art

Amira is the creative director of Amira Brooks Flamenco.

I started my Flamenco dance journey about 25 years ago and upon first encounter was completely hooked. Flamenco has a way of getting a hold of you.
For me it is a place of absolute expression where everything is accepted and no experience or feeling is too much.

Amongst many wonderful teachers in Canada; I've been privileged enough to take classes with some of the greats including Farru (Farruquito's brother, Antonio El Pipa, Maria del Mar Mareno and Maria Jose Franco.

My mission with Amira Brooks Flamenco is to build a strong and vibrant community; a judgment free place to support each other, have fun and make memories.

her teeth performing at local flamenco tablao Kino Cafe
